The second steam system on this review is the WS-803L steam shower. This is another high quality steam shower that has twice as many jets as the above sauna. Another great benefit to this shower is that it’s the second cheapest one on this review.

Steam Shower Benefits

As we mentioned above steam showers aren’t technically saunas. They are showers that have the jets that create steam. Since they still make you sweat we though it was important to review them. We found that these units are perfect for those who want the a home steam sauna, but something that’s more practical than an official sauna.

These specific units use steam to generate their heat. Most of these steam showers have 6 or more units to produce their steam. With these powerful jets the steam showers can reach temperatures of above 100 degrees F. It should be noted that even though these units can create a lot of steam, they still won’t be as powerful as an official steam sauna. So don’t expect to get the same exact temperature and experience of a regular steam sauna.

Even though this is so, steam saunas are still very successful at making you sweat. The powerful jets that these showers have create a sufficient amount of steam to make you sweat profusely. If you wait long enough you can obtain a successful “sauna bathe” while in the shower.

Since steam showers make you sweat profusely they have essentially the same health benefits as regular saunas. These benefits all come from the heat/steam that steam showers create. Specifically the health benefits that infrared saunas promote include pain relief, detoxification, improved circulation, weight loss, lower blood pressure, anti-aging benefits, and etc. To learn more about the health benefits of saunas then visit this page HERE.

Along with their health benefits steam showers also have other benefits/features. The best features we have found include radios, speakers, CD/MP3 players, aromatherapy, chromo therapy, handheld shower heads, and powerful steam jets. With all these features you will never get bored with this sauna. The features also enhance your sauna experience by making it much more convenient and enjoyable. One thing that we do like is that you can take a shower in the same unit when finished sauna bathing. This makes it much more convenient and fast at sauna bathing.

Another great thing about steam showers is that you can order them online. These units are sold in kits that require little to no tools to assemble. Doing the plumbing does take a professional, but assembling is an easy task. These simply kits cost you anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000. They are relatively expensive, but offer a wonderful value for their price. They are also cheaper than building a whole sauna room like traditional saunas.

With that being said steam showers should be a definite option to your home sauna needs. We recommend them to anyone who want a home steam unit that is convenient and practical. These units can be used everyday and are perfect for everyday sauna users.
